  <data name="en_gallerypicture_caption2"><![CDATA[The white egret is found in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americans – including The
Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. These stately birds hunt by wading or
standing still in wetlands and using their yellow bills to spear fish. They were hunted
nearly to extinction in the late nineteenth century.]]></data>

Species. The largest known breeding population of this extremely rare insect is in Door

  <data name="en_gallerypicture_caption8"><![CDATA[The Ram’s Head Lady’s Slipper is a rare orchid found in northern North America. It grows
in lightly shaded areas with chalky soil. This delicate flower is difficult to cultivate and
rarely survives transplantation, so it should never be moved from a natural area.]]></data>

  <data name="en_gallerypicture_caption10"><![CDATA[Wildlife is abundant at The Ridges Sanctuary, including this resting Northern Water Snake.
They eat rodents, frogs, birds and eggs. This non-venomous snake is one of the most aggressive snakes in Door County and relies on the sun for warmth.]]></data>

  <data name="en_gallerypicture_caption11"><![CDATA[Turtles have been around for over 200 million years. A group of turtles is called a bale
and, since they are cold blooded like all other reptiles, they sun themselves to regulate
their body heat. Exposure to the sun also helps them produce vitamin D, and kills some
parasites that attach to their shells.]]></data>
